# The Garden Table — a proposed organization

Status: UNFORMED / PROPOSAL ONLY

Mission hypothesis: Explore a small, producer-aware community grocery and tasting table where local people can discover, offer, and discuss food access without pretending a store or cooperative has already opened.

First question: What is one useful food-sharing or discovery experiment neighbors could try with permission and minimal expense?

Smallest first experiment: Draft a one-page, clearly proposed sample-table invitation; invite one willing person to review it without collecting shoppers’ personal histories.

Possible voluntary steward (role, not an assigned person): Someone willing to convene a bounded listening and tasting experiment, not an appointed store director.

What would count as an inspectable return: A public, consent-cleared sample-table plan or a documented decision not to proceed.

Required boundary: Not an operating grocery, co-op, food shelf, or partnership. Food-handling rules, venue permission, sourcing claims and accessibility need separate review.

No consent, actual institution, partner, legal registration, membership or completed act is asserted.
